House bill aims to kill Labor’s fiduciary rule

A provision that would block implementation of the Labor Department's fiduciary rule is in a bill to replace the Dodd-Frank Act sponsored by House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas. The measure would also bar the Securities and Exchange Commission from proposing a fiduciary rule until it conducts a rigorous cost-benefit analysis.
