Job Description

Responsible for managing moderately complex accounts to ensure efficient and effective campaigns.  Produces and edits marketing materials that help to support business objectives.  Responsible for the execution of marketing campaigns to including, but not limited to, printing, mailing, emailing marketing materials, arranging educational meetings and involvement in other meeting/conference projects.  May work with vendors to support marketing campaigns. This position performs administrative-type duties as required.


  • Plans and creates content designed to appeal to targeted audience
  • Oversees the development in areas such as layout and design for brochures, fact sheets, presentations, web content, publications and materials for events
  • Proofread and edits copy prior to submission for final approval
  • Handles the execution of marketing campaigns including, but not limited to, printings, email distributions, direct mailings advertising, contests & incentives, media relations, web sites, trade shows and seminars
  • May assist in the design and execution of custom surveys to assess campaign effectiveness
  • Perform routine administrative functions for department, including list management, mail merges, direct mail packaging, supplies management, etc.
  • Involves some copy writing

  • Experience with PC’s in a Windows environment
  • Well-developed personal and project management skills are a requirement for this position
  • General knowledge of Brokers Central, its carriers, business partners, and affiliates, as well as general understanding of the life insurance industry is required
  • Extensive PC knowledge (primarily in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Word, Excel, and MS Outlook) is essential
  • Position demands a solid understanding of pre-press layout and design capabilities, as well as online content presentation options
  • Good writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Prioritization, flexibility, and excellent time management are key to job success
  • Ability to travel, for both meetings with clients, business partners and vendors, as well as to provide marketing support for events such as conferences, seminars and incentives
  • Excellent interpersonal relations are beneficial for building relationships with fellow employees and clients and to successfully complete job requirements
  • Three years of experience in communications
  • Four year college degree in communications or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
