Case Design Administrative Assistant

Job Title: Brokers Central – Case Design Administrative Assistant Location: 400 Rella Blvd Montebello, NY 10901 Brokers Central is a leading independent wholesale distributor of insurance, linking a network of financial services professionals with products manufactured by more than 30 highly rated insurance companies. Essential Job Functions:
  • Answer client help desk phone calls and assist caller with on-line life insurance quoting systems and/or transfer incoming calls to appropriate department personnel based on request to assist them promptly and professionally.
  • Transmit information received from Regional Specialists, Internal Specialists, and Financial Advisors onto illustration request form for department processing.
  • Monitor and prioritize incoming requests to insure smooth movement of workflow through the department and ensure the customer deadlines are met
  • Maintain up-to-date library of carrier forms and marketing materials
  • Access carrier websites for various elements of information such and forms, applications, marketing materials, product guidelines, etc.
  • Input data efficiently and accurately into company database system.
  • Organize and maintain department files
  • General copy and faxing
  • Filing and other general administrative functions as assigned
  • Provide administrative support for manager and department team leaders as needed.
  • Additional administrative functions as needed for department, as requested.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience: Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school diploma and some college or certification course work within administrative disciplines. At least 1 year of administrative support experience within the insurance industry. Skills Required:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35wpm accurately
  • Proficient use of Standard office equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, thorough knowledge of generally accepted office practices, procedures and equipment plus strong English usage, grammar and vocabulary and spelling skills
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work and operate with minimal direction
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with outside contacts and co-workers
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and prioritize workflow for self and others
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to multi task
